The Coaching Pathway Program (CPP) is currently accepting applications from coaches who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC). This opportunity is specifically designed for coaches who are dedicated to achieving their ICF certifications and need additional coaching hours. The program participants should be committed to personal development and shaping the coaching profession. Moreover, they must demonstrate a commitment to equity, belonging, and sustainable diversity through social justice action in their community and professional and personal lives.



This opportunity is for (eligibility criteria):


  • Coaches who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC).
  • BIPOC coaches who have completed an ICF-Accredited program.
  • BIPOC coaches who live in Washington State.
  • BIPOC coaches who are dedicated to achieving their ICF certifications but need additional coaching hours.
  • BIPOC coaches who are committed to personal development and to shaping the coaching profession.
  • BIPOC coaches who demonstrate a commitment to equity, belonging, and sustainable diversity through social justice action in their community, professionally and personally.


    Participants Benefits:

    • Reciprocal Peer Coaching: 
    Accumulate coaching hours that count as PAID towards your ICF certification.
      • Mentor Coaching: 
      Receive one-on-one  mentor coaching sessions that meet ICF requirements from experienced ICF-certified coaches.
        • Monthly Cohort Gatherings: 
        Stay accountable to your goal of becoming ICF-certified and receive the necessary support.
        • BIPOC Coach Community Building: 
        Connect with fellow BIPOC coaches and build a lasting network of fellow BIPOC coaches.

            Participants are expected to:

            • Engage fully in the cohort from August 2024 to May 2025.
            • Attend monthly gatherings, which will be held on the third Thursday of each month from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
            • Participate in three rounds of reciprocal peer coaching sessions. During these sessions, you will have six coaching sessions (each lasting 60 minutes) and six sessions of receiving coaching (each lasting 60 minutes).
            • Meet regularly with your mentor coach.
            • Consent to being recorded for cohort sessions and coaching for mentoring, credentialing, and reflective learning purposes.


            Please Note: The CPP program requires a significant time commitment, and you should ensure that you can fully commit to the program before applying.


            How will participants be selected?

            Participants for the program will be selected based on the below criteria:

            • Participants must identify as BIPOC.
            • Minimum 5 to 8 years of professional experience, with at least 1 to 3 years in a leadership position.
            • The coach must have completed an ICF-Accredited coach training program.
            • Demonstrate their commitment to equity, belonging, and sustainable diversity through social justice action in their community, professionally and personally.
            • Submission of a 3-5 minute video answering the following questions:
            1. In what ways have you committed to racial equity and social justice action in your personal and professional life.
            2. What has been your equity and belonging journey, and what experiences have motivated this journey?
            3. How do you envision participating and giving back to your community, the BIPOC coaching community, and/or the ICFWA and coaching community at large?

            • Applications Open: May 15, 2024
            • Applications Close: July 15, 2024
            • Application Review Period: July 16 - 22, 2024
            • Interviews (if applicable): July 29 - August 2, 2024
            • Notification of Acceptance: August 9, 2024
