We are very excited to present an informative, interactive, experiential workshop.

"Trusting your gut: the art, the science, the practice".

Whether a person is an executive, coach, HR leader or professional trainer, success depends on the ability to listen to others and respond with effective communication.

In general, people often respond intellectually - from their head – a response that years of experience and education have taught them.  Occasionally, people go with their "gut"- that intuitive, feeling response that seems like the best choice.

Which response is the best?

In the ICF Core Competence of Coaching Presence, we are guided to access intuition and trust our inner knowing - "goes with the gut" and to ask powerful questions based on our observations of the client. When we “go with the gut” sometimes things work out beautifully. Sometimes they don’t.

When should you trust your gut? Or your brain?

Exciting breakthroughs in Brain Science are giving us those clues.

Our speakers for the evening, Andre Golard and Andrew McMasters,  have created an entertaining program that combines the fascinating Brain Science discoveries with a seemingly unlikely match, Improv.

Dr. Andre Golard, MBA, PhD, is a highly respected international leader in the field of Neuroscience and his passion is applying science's new discoveries about how we think, to business.  He's found that it's possible to rewire the brain and learn new, more effective decision making processes.

Andrew McMasters, MFA, co-founder of Jet City Improv, is an accomplished performer, improv teacher and corporate trainer. He believes that creativity drives ideas and ideas drive business. Improvisational theater is a unique way of turning ideas into action.

Andrew fuses professional improvisational exercises and concepts with instant applications to the workplace, creating fun and relevant experiences leading to more attentive listening, creative thinking, problem solving, teamwork and communication.   Andrew conducts team building and communication workshops for Microsoft, T-Mobile, and Virginia Mason, and other corporations.

This workshop is effective because it appeals to both the rational mind (the science), and your emotional mind (through improv exercises.)  You will leave with a set of practical tools you can apply on your own.

This workshop brings a unique combination of science and action, of learning hard facts and feeling your brain at work.

• You will learn about and experience the limitations of the prefrontal cortex of the   brain.

• You will learn about and experience subconscious learning.

• You will learn how subconscious knowledge can be retrieved.

• You will leave with the knowledge of when you should go with your gut, and tools to do this effectively.

This workshop will be interactive, engaging, and hands-on.
