Session: Coaching Across Cultures: Exploring Values
Following a brief introduction to culture and the effects of culture on individual and group perception, participants will have an opportunity to explore their personal values in relation to four separate value continuums: Activity, Time, Nature and Human Relationships. An interactive group discussion will follow: How might differences in value orientations affect behaviors, perceptions and relationships? What implications could this have in a coaching relationship?
Key objectives for this workshop are:
· Introduce Visible and Invisible Components of Culture
· Discuss Terminal and Instrumental Values
· Identify Personal Value Preferences
· Explore Ways Cultural Perspective Can Impact the Coaching Process
Presenter: Tricia is a cross-cultural consultant, trainer and coach specializing in international transition for individuals and families. She is the lead facilitator at Collaborative Connection, a cross-cultural consultancy based in the greater Seattle area. She co-authored: 52 Activities for Exploring Values Differences (2003), 52 Activities for Improving Cross Cultural Communication (2009) and 52 Activities for Successful International Relocation (2014).

Forza's is located at 2209 N Pearl St #104. Their number is (253) 759-9320. There is good coffee available for purchase. (As we continue to meet there, someone needs to buy a $25 card to hold the room. The card can be used to buy products at the store so it is not pure cost, rather an obligation to spend at least $25 at Forza's sometime. We are covered for the next few months now.)
Parking:
Forza's is located in a shopping plaza area. There is plenty of free parking and also nearby fun places for lunch. No worries about finding a spot or when you need to leave.
