Speaker: Jeanie Mckay

Topic:  Rewiring the Brain for Emotional Agility, Resilience, and Improved Wellbeing

As we humans travel through life, we have few ways of knowing what lies ahead or which course to take when change, distressing circumstances, or storms occur. We don't have lighthouses to keep us away from the rocks, and we don't have radar that notifies us of submerged threats that might lurk below the surface. Instead, when things get tough, we have our emotional sensations like anxiety, panic, anger, or fear as well as a complex neuro-chemical system to notify us when things go amiss. But often when life throws us off-course and our negative emotions increase our angst, we need the calm guidance and empathetic, nurturing support from a coach. How prepared are you to show up with the life raft?

"Rewiring the Brain for Emotional Agility, Resilience and Improved Wellbeing" is designed just for coaches like you who want to learn more about the human brain operates and affects emotions, thoughts, behavior, and performance.

During the session, you will review key neuroscience discoveries in fun and novel ways. This will help you better understand techniques you can use to shift clients from reliance on ingrained, hardwired, but ineffective emotional autopilot patterns that hinder their health and wellbeing. You will discover new applications for increasing emotional agility and will learn ways to increase a client's resilience.

Join us in Tacoma on December 1. Come prepared to discuss examples, scenarios and ways you currently help clients overcome life's setbacks. Life truly is all about continuous improvement for coaches as well as those we serve. Let's help ourselves and our clients testify to the quote below written by Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women...

"I am no longer afraid of storms...for I am learning to sail my ship." ~ Louisa May Alcott
