The 9 Enneagram Types and Coaching

Speaker: Dr. Gary Trantham

Topic:  Enneagram Patterns and Coaching

We will review and discuss the nine enneagram types. The Enneagram is a powerful and dynamic personality system that describes nine distinct and fundamentally different automatic patterns of thinking, feeling, and acting. Each of the nine patterns is based on an explicit perceptual filter. This filter determines the focus of your attention and how you direct your energy. Underneath each of the nine patterns is a basic proposition, or belief, about what you need in life for survival and satisfaction. As coaches, use of the Enneagram allows us to deeply understand the core motivations, specific strengths, and recurring patterns that get in the way of our own and our clients’ growth and change.

It will be important for you to find and park in the back of the library. We will have the place to ourselves for the first hour because the library opens at 10:00. The front door will be locked until 11:00 and there is a gate separating the library from the meeting room and bath rooms. Consequently, everyone will need to enter from the back entrance which will be open just to our group. (The storefronts in the shopping area face Meridian, the main street to the east of the shopping center. Drive west around the storefronts from either the north or south side of the stores and head toward the middle. There is a parking lot there for the library and additional spaces adjacent to that lot.)
