Happiness is not about wishful thinking, good luck, or avoiding negative thoughts. The only path to true happiness requires seeing challenges as opportunities and discovering emotional strength during times of struggle. In other words, it's about resilience.

Resilience is a quality most of our coaching clients desperately want to attain. The big issue is that few people know how to access it in their day-to-day lives. We know it's important--even crucial--but it seems like people think resilience is something you either have...or you don't. Rather, resilience is an emotional trait that can be developed. But how many coaches know the best methods to help clients grow build resilience-readiness into the brain and how many effectively prepare clients to effectively shift into resilient mindset modes when the going gets tough with lifestyle chaos or life-altering trauma?

Jeanie McKay offers a practical, neuro-science-backed presentation and toolkit to help you develop your clients' capacity to handle whatever life throws their way. The powerful program can help clients not just survive change and adversity, but it will provide keys that can help clients enhance their well-being and thrive! Learn about some innovative new tools that can help clients gauge their current level of resiliency.

During the presentation you will work together in teams to analyze several real-life coaching case examples. These studies will require you to share your insight and analyze best strategies coaches apply to aid a client in situations where resilience is needed . Everyone attending will receive a "Resilience-Building TOOLKIT" (PDF). This resource was created to help you when you work with current and future clients.

By the end of the engaging presentation, you will be able to identify common traits of highly resilient people, suggest sure-fire tools that increase resilience. The presentation is designed to help you...and the clients you coach...affirm the quote by Coco Chanel below:

"My life didn't please me, so I recreated my life."

ICF Competency Focus: The presentation is offered to help you apply ICF core competencies #8 "Facilitating Learning and Results" and #9 "Designing Actions."

Resource CCEU’s will be offered to anyone attending the entire event who wants to receive them.

View of Library and lot

It will be important for you to find and park in the back of the library. We will have the place to ourselves for the first hour because the library opens at 10:00. The front door will be locked until 11:00 and there is a gate separating the library from the meeting room and bath rooms. Consequently, everyone will need to enter from the back entrance which will be open just to our group. (The storefronts in the shopping area face Meridian, the main street to the east of the shopping center. Drive west around the storefronts from either the north or south side of the stores and head toward the middle. There is a parking lot there for the library and additional spaces adjacent to that lot.)
