Presentation:  Playing with the Value of Body Wisdom in Coaching with Lori VanderBilt MS, Professional Coach

In this experiential workshop, we will look at how “somatic noticing” helps us become more attuned coaches as we develop our skills in the core competencies. We will use the forms of InterPlay, which is improvisational movement, storytelling, and voice. In addition to being accessible and fun, this active and creative approach offers eight practical body wisdom tools that are beneficial to both coaches and coaches.

Meet Lori:

Lori VanderBilt is a Personal and Professional Development Coach who draws on the wisdom of the body, mind, and spirit in her work. She brings the experience and observation of 20 years as a Marriage and Family Therapist into her coaching practice. She is a recent graduate of SeattleCoach, about to apply for her ACC with ICF.

As a coach, she uses powerful conversation, a strength-based approach, and tools of self-reflection. As a Certified Leader in InterPlay, she brings experience with teaching body wisdom tools and improvisational skills. This past year, she taught in the InterPlay Life Practice Program for Helping Professionals, a nine-month program in InterPlay tools, ideas, and practices.

Comment from a participant:

“Lori is an articulate teacher who brings her groundedness and delight when she leads InterPlay. She brings a welcoming presence, as well as depth and clarity of professional insight as a coach.”
