Eastside ICF WA Satellite Meeting

Creativity and Coaching with Meri Arnett Kremian

Meri's Creativity and Coaching presentation will:

1. help you identify creative ways to take your coaching practice to the next level (collaborative exercise; easy to adapt for use with clients)

2. inspire you to build more creativity and joy into your own life in 20 minutes per day so you can inspire your clients to make their lives more vibrant, one doable step at a time. Easily used with clients. Core Competency 9: Designing Actions.

3. help you begin to build a library of "fruitful assignments" for those times when your client needs homework to deepen the learning and magnify their progress, but can't come up with a plan for themselves on the spur of the moment. (collaborative exercise -- hopefully leading to an idea catalog that can be shared on the South Sound Coaches dropbox) Core Competency 9: Designing Actions.

Meri will set up a display of materials from her "Creativity Collection" so you can look through books on her Reading List and decide whether or not to spend the money. (A copy of the Reading List will be available for you to take home.)

What to bring: yourself. a readiness to collaborate with other coaches. flexibility. a tablet, laptop or writing pad. a writing implement.

(What it does NOT cover, since I've divided the previous presentation into two parts, is the how-to-create-your-own-graphics-on-a-free, easy to use-website).

Meri Arnett-Kremian, founder of Soul Deep Coaching, is an InviteChange-trained life artistry coach who attracts clients bent who feel like they’re creatively blocked, want to launch a project or product but don’t know how, or get to midlife and wonder where their joy went. She has a B.A. from University of Washington with a major in English and minor in education. She began her career teaching, then transitioned to the nonprofit arena where she learned the care and feeding of volunteers, created and delivered peer counseling training programs, wrote grant applications and accountability reports, built a speakers’ bureau, and functioned as the public relations person. She subsequently obtained a law degree from University of Maryland School of Law, where she graduated in the top 10 percent of her class. After graduation, she practiced public sector law, and volunteered with Women’s Legal Defense Fund and the D.C. Bar’s pro bono family law program. She eventually migrated home to Puget Sound to practice family law.

She also served for 15 years as a back-up court commissioner or substitute trial judge. After becoming disaffected with the traumatic effects of divorce litigation on families (and divorce lawyers), she looked for a more uplifting and joyful way to engage with life and be of service to others. Coaching was part of the answer; so was letting her creative impulses loose in whatever direction she felt called. Her creative resume is extensive, including publication of both writing and photographs, solo and group art shows, and art contest wins. Her life artistry coaching website is SoulDeepCoaching.com. She has a divorce resource website at DivorceDemystified.com.

CCEU’s will be offered to anyone attending the entire event who wants to receive them.
