~Research shows that Emotional Intelligence (or EQ) is twice as important as IQ in contributing to excellence and that EQ can be increased.

~The ability to choose how we behave in stressful situations is a competitive advantage for leaders of every stripe.

~Help your clients reframe “negative” emotions that arise in stressful situations and leverage the inherent gifts of each. This knowledge and action will facilitate your client’s shift from reflexive reaction to conscious behavioral choice.

~In this session we’ll also look at the definition of EQ and the assessment tool (EQ in Action Profile) available to evaluate your client’s EQ dimensions.

At the end of this interactive session, you will leave with the following practical tools:

  • A working definition of Emotional Intelligence your clients can use every day
  • The ability to help your clients recognize and leverage the power of “negative emotions”
  • An overview of the EQ in Action Profile, an EQ assessment tool

Leading the session: Diane Kane, MSOD, PCC, is an Executive Leadership Coach and Organization Development Consultant who regularly utilizes the concepts of emotional awareness, emotion regulation and empathy for herself and with her executive clients. She has seen first-hand, the positive shifts clients are able to make when they choose to consciously become aware of emotions and their inherent gifts. The ability to choose effective behaviors in stressful situations instead of reacting reflexively can make the difference in leadership effectiveness. Diane is a graduate of the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara and is an ICF-PCC. She is certified in the use and interpretation of the EQ in Action Profile. Contact Diane at diane@dianekane.com
