Description of Webinar

You get a notification from the ICF (International Coach Federation) staff that someone has filed a complaint about you. The IRB (Independent Review Board) has determined that the case has legitimacy and you are asked to respond to the allegations. How do you feel? In this session, Dr. Marx of the ICF Global IRB will present the system and structure behind the ECR (Ethics Code Review). Participants will gain an appreciation for the ECR process which is more pedagogical and less punitive. They will be better able to apply the Code of Ethics to their work and their lives.

What you will learn:

  • Increase awareness of the ECR process
  • Increase sensitivity to the feelings of the complainant as well as the accused
  • Learn how to prevent an accusation
  • Raise the ethical standard ICF members
