Description of Course

Join Meri Arnett-Kremian, J.D., founder of Soul Deep Coaching, LLC, as she presents a primer on the Enneagram for coaches who aren’t familiar with it (and a refresher for those who’ve previously been exposed to the basics.

What you will learn:

In this mini-training, you will learn (or be reminded):

  • - what the Enneagram is
  • - characteristics of each of the nine Enneagram styles
  • - benefits of working with your Enneagram type
  • - limitations of the Enneagram
  • - what “wings” are
  • - emotional motivators of the 9 Enneagram types
  • - an introduction to the concept of levels of functioning

The November program will be followed in December by The Enneagram: Part II, which focuses on recurring issues and themes for each enneagram type, as well as a look at how a coach’s Enneagram type impacts his or her coaching style and what growth edges coaches encounter because of their own unique type.

PREREQUISITE FOR BOTH SESSIONS:

Know your own Enneagram type (1 to 9). If you don’t remember, or haven’t determined it previously, visit www.EnneagramInstitute.com and take the RHETI assessment ($12) online, then read the site’s type descriptions to make sure the description “fits” what you know of yourself. (When I took the assessment the first time, my score was close in three types. Only by reading the narrative descriptions was I able to discern which type was actually mine).

ICF Core Competencies:

8. Creating Awareness—Ability to integrate and accurately evaluate multiple sources of information and to make interpretations that help the client to gain awareness and thereby achieve agreed-upon results.

9. Designing Actions—Ability to create with the client opportunities for ongoing learning, during coaching and in work/life situations, and for taking new actions that will most effectively lead to agreed-upon coaching results.

10. Planning and Goal Setting -- Ability to develop and maintain an effective coaching plan with client.

11. Managing Progress and Accountability—Ability to hold attention on what is important for the client, and to leave responsibility with the client to take action.

Meri Arnett-Kremian, founder of Soul Deep Coaching, LLC is life artistry and creativity coach. She has a B.A. from University of Washington with a major in English and minors in education and American History. She obtained a law degree from University of Maryland School of Law, where she graduated in the top 10 percent of her class. Her career has included teaching at the preschool, elementary and college level; non-profit experience, both as an administrator responsible for volunteer development, grants, and public relations and as an art museum trustee; and many years as an attorney initially practicing public sector law and eventually family law. She also served for 15 years as a substitute court commissioner. After becoming disaffected with the traumatic effects of divorce litigation on families (and divorce lawyers), she looked for a more uplifting and joyful way to engage with life and be of service to others. Coaching was part of the answer; so was cultivating her creativity. She remains intellectually curious and constantly seeks to deepen her knowledge of the workings of the human mind and to help people flourish
