Description of Course

In his recent WBECS webinar, Dr. David Drake discussed the importance of helping clients change their story in order to change their outcomes. There is a powerful connection between a client’s story and behavior, yet often both the story and the behavior have become automatic and unconscious to the client.

The same is true for us as coaches. As we work in the field and develop our style, we too create a coaching story. It is often automatic and unconscious and inherently holds our attachments and triggers and belief about coaching. It can determine the limits of our ability to hold space for our clients and direct the outcome of our conversations.

Doing our own work to bring into light our mindset and limitations, our attachments and aversions, and our dreams and desires is part of our professional responsibility.

Our time together at the North Seattle Satellite meeting you will be able to

• discover your coaching story, and how it serves you.

• what you want to change?

• What are you blind spots?

• look at your attachment style, and how that can impact your coaching.

• the impact of your coaching story on the ability to create coaching presence.

Join Jody McCrain as she walks us through this process of writing the coaching story that can improve our work and increase the success of our clients.
