The coaching conversation is ideally suited for helping our clients increase their emotional intelligence.  You will hear about the elements of emotional intelligence (EI); we will demystify working with the emotions of our clients and explore why emotional content is vital to the success of the coach/client alliance. Finally, we will practice two ways to uncover emotions during a coaching dialogue to increase our clients’ self awareness.

Gain more comfort with navigating emotional content during a coaching conversation and ways to work with and leverage your client’s emotions as key sources of information and building blocks for greater self-awareness. In this session, you will:
  • Experience one way to notice rather than interpret your client’s emotions;
  • Learn why working with emotions is not only appropriate but vital to helping our clients move toward desired outcomes;
  • Explore the role your own emotions play during a coaching interaction;
  • Practice one tool that will assist clients in building their emotional intelligence.

ICF CCEs available for attending this event. Be sure to register online and check in at the event in order to receive them.
