Monday, October 12, 2020 - 10:30 - 12:30 pm on Zoom.
In order to qualify for CCEU’s you will need to attend the entire meeting. We will be giving a code word at the beginning and another at the end. After the meeting there will be a short survey to fill out that will include the two code words. This will be our verification of attendance. If you are not interested in CCEU’s you do not need to take this extra step, just come and enjoy.

Description of Course
If you have a brain, you're biased. The danger is not that we have biases, but that we have unconscious and unexamined biases that motivate our thinking and behaviors.
The term “implicit bias” is used to describe when we have attitudes towards people or associate stereotypes, thoughtlessly, and without conscious awareness. Affinity Bias tends to drive our experience.
Let's explore ways to be curious about our biases, create safe containers for having important and meaningful coaching conversations. Our awareness of our own biases creates a safe space to be in deeper conversations. Let’s use our self-awareness to support our client’s growth.
What you will learn:
Participants who actively engage with the content and one another will leave with:
- How the Brain Develops Biases
- Implicit Bias
- Model of Self Perception
- How to Spot a Bias
- Your Circle of Trust Exercise
- Affinity Bias
- A short Visualization for Reducing Emotional and Psychological Discomfort
- Making the Unconscious Conscious
- Exploring the ICF Competencies in Context to Biases
