About Doug:
For over 20 years leadership and organization development challenges have fascinated me. As the owner of Doug Nathan Coaching & Consulting, I bring a systems approach to create healthy work environments in corporate, non-profit and government agencies. Voice is a powerful tool that develops self-awareness, empathy and presence. I began using this process 25 years ago teaching creative writing to adults interested in connecting more deeply with what they had to say through fiction and non-fiction. I realized that the tools I used in my writing workshops helped people bring their whole selves to the work they do. Since then, I have used this Voice process to teach leadership development to MBA students and leaders within business and government. I also use Voice processes to support mediators and coaches to develop their empathy and presence skills. In my free time, I scuba dive, kayak and enjoy the wonderful chaos of life with my family on an island in the Seattle, WA area.
