Description of Course

Google’s Project Aristotle generated incontrovertible data that shows Psychological Safety is the proven gateway characteristic of innovative and effective teams. Amy Edmondson (Teaming, The Fearless Organization) and Timothy Clark (The Four Steps to Psychological Safety) have done the research. But Covid19 and its aftermath have illuminated the fault lines in many organizations’ cultures, leading to instability in the workforce. How can you coach your clients to implement this knowledge to reduce what expert Duena Blomstrom has termed “human debt” and effectively increase Psychological Safety (PS) in their company cultures?

Join Christine Rose, a Certified Psychological Safety Coach, to learn skills to help you coach your client to grow Psychological Safety in their teams. (Hint: It’s sorely missing where harassment and discrimination are tolerated.)

During this engaging hands-on virtual session participants will:

• Review findings of Project Aristotle and discuss implications for team coaching
• Understand the Four Stages of Psychological Safety (Dr. Timothy Clark)
• Identify five keys to coaching for psychological safety in an organization, especially in teams we coach, and specific, actionable steps that coaches and clients can take to activate these keys
• Review ICF Core Competencies and new Team Coaching Competencies to identify how coaches increase PS in their team coaching work.

Participants will leave with a clear knowledge of what Psychological Safety (PS) is and why it’s essential for effective teams; knowledge of ways to engage as a coach with PS; and specific ways to coach teams to increase PS; and actionable steps to increase PS a team leader/team member.
