Description of Course

When was the last time you consciously considered how the beauty of your individual human design is intrinsically related to your free self-expression, confidence, and connection to others?

The body and mind are never separate, even though we clever humans can think of them that way. When we start to consider body and mind as facets of understanding rather than separate entities, all sorts of possibilities open up. This is whole-self learning.

In this experiential and interactive workshop, Crispin Spaeth will introduce the fundamentals of Integrative Alexander Technique (IAT). You will discover how you can use it to help you cooperate with your own human design, so you can move, think, and communicate more efficiently and with your natural ease.

Following an introduction to IAT, we’ll put it into practice with simple, everyday movements like walking and picking up an object.  We’ll then build toward communication activities, including breakout rooms to practice in.

IAT is a holistic approach with practical and immediate application in any aspect of your life, be it social, intellectual, emotional, or physical. Coaches, in particular, can use it to nurture their connection with their clients in a new way. When you discover and access your own natural coordination, both you and your clients would feel more ease and creativity.

In this virtual session you will:

Further hone your listening skills through noticing physical cues of conflict in thinking in yourself and others

Understand key aspects of physiology that can help or hinder connection

Experiment with the micro-movements of living that support curiosity
