Life is challenging. The choices you make – at work, with your spouse or partner, your family, your friends and in your community –shape your world. Making the right choices for the right reasons is the key toliving a meaningful, productive life - and those choices begin by knowing whoyou are at your core – by clarifying your identity. Come explore identity and how to bring it into your coaching practice in ways that help your clients realize greater self-awareness and self-confidence.

The session will present a framework for understanding and applying the concept of personal identity in coaching practice in practical and concrete terms. The ‘Identity Discipline’ is a powerful platform for clarifying one’s life purpose and the unique strengths that fuel our ability to realize our purpose.

Coaches will be introduced to, and experience, a proven, systematic, practical, and fun process designed to help them help their clients align howthey live with who they are – at home, at work, and in their community.

Attendees will work with the Identity Discovery Deck™ – a deck of cards and associated worksheet – to:

a. Consider the meaning of identity and learn The Identity Circle’s framework
b. Evaluate what their “identity circle” reveals about their unique strengths
c. Draft an “identity statement”. An “identity statement” articulates a person’s life purpose in terms of the unique contribution they are capable of making – as coaches, leaders, business owners, team members, parents, friends, etc.

At minimum you'll take away:
  • A new, dynamic and practical definition of identity that helps you and your clients tap its inherent, life-shaping power
  • New insights into your unique strengths and purpose, i.e., your identity
  • A new set of tools you can use with your clients to help them align how they live and work with who they are

ICF CCEs available for attending this event. Be sure to register online and check in at the event in order to receive them.
