About Our Speaker 
Michael Charest

I have been speaking since starting my own business in 1998. I believe what makes me a great speaker is my down-to-earth, relateable style. Words I most hear from my audiences are “real,” “authentic,” “funny,” “knowledgeable,” and “unafraid.” I have a gift of balancing business expertise, tough love, and gut-busting humor so you leave my talks feeling alive, challenged, and armed with knowledge to grow your business and live a great life.

As the president of Business Growth Solutions, I also coach and consult with small business owners. I can help you attract more clients, grow your business, and enjoy a more prosperous, freedom-filled life. To date, over 5,000 business owners have grown as a result of my coaching, live seminars, teleprograms, audio products, books, and workbooks.

Prior to starting my own business, I managed hotels and country clubs for Embassy Suites and American Golf Corporation. I managed a AGC’s flagship property in Los Angeles and at 28 was the youngest general manager in the country, overseeing a $400 million property and over 150 employees.

I am a member of the National Speakers Association and the International Coach Federation. I grew up and spent 18 years in Massachusetts, then lived in Arizona for 10 years, Los Angeles for 10 and Denver for two. I moved to Kansas City, MO to be closer to my family during my dad’s illness. He died in April 08 and the rest of my family remain best friends. In fact, I employ my Mom as my speaking agent. My brother Mark runs my membership site, and his wife Julie has been my assistant for 12 years. Employing my family is what makes me most proud about having a successful business.

I share my home with my beloved human-dog Ava and I am excited about finding my soul-mate after enjoying the single life for many years.
