Diversity, Equity,

Inclusion & Belonging in Coaching

In this presentation, coaches will learn how to make all clients feel welcome and accepted. Coaches learn to identify and help clients unleash their unique strengths through an appreciative, culturally relevant lens. Core ICF competencies are integrated with diversity, equity, and inclusion principles to cultivate belonging. Participants gain tools to mitigate biases, uphold ethical practices, and facilitate growth through the DEI framework created by Dr. Kiki Ramsey called Positively Diverse Leadership. The ultimate goal is maximizing human potential in coaching through diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Module 1: Coaching the Lived Experience Coaching is a powerful process that supports individuals in achieving their goals and reaching their full potential. However, it's important to recognize that each person's lived experience is shaped by their unique identities, backgrounds, and the systemic factors at play in society. To be truly effective, coaches must understand and embrace diversity in all its forms.

Module 2: Unleashing Strengths Through an Inclusive Lens Every individual possesses a unique set of strengths that have been shaped by their lived experiences, identities and backgrounds. As coaches, it's crucial to approach strength identification and development through an inclusive lens that celebrates diversity and cultivates a sense of belonging. This module focuses on helping clients uncover, embrace and build upon their authentic strengths in an affirmative way.

Module 3: Cultivating Belonging Through Inclusive Coaching Creating a sense of belonging is essential for effective and equitable coaching engagements. When clients feel truly seen, valued, and affirmed in their identities and experiences, they can show up as their full, authentic selves. This allows for deeper self-awareness, greater ownership of goals, and more meaningful growth. This module explores how to foster belonging by integrating diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) principles throughout the core coaching competencies.
