Coaches care deeply about others and changing the world for the good.  We want to participate in the development of individuals, organizations and indeed, the world.  Our passion for being change-agents and helpers may sometimes be confused with rescuing and saving others.   As a rescuer we unknowingly disempower our clients and interfere with their development.  As a coach we evoke a transformative way of being. In this teleseminar you will learn how to be aware of what triggers you into the rescuing role and how to shift into the coaching role. Based upon David Emerald’s book, The Power of TED* you will be amazed at simple, yet not easy, questions and reflections to support you toward fully stepping into the coaching role.

You will learn how to:
  • Differentiate the characteristics of a rescuer and a coach;
  • How to ask powerful question that yourself from rescuer to coach;
  • Ask yourself the coaching questions to make the shift and
  • A greater awareness of when our clients are rescuing others.
You will also be able to:
  • Increase your awareness of when you get "hooked" and move into the rescuing role;
  • Identify your unmet need that may be b
  • ehind your tendency to rescue; and,
  • Notice when you are rescuing and how to shift from rescuer to coach
