This webinar is for beginning and experienced coaches and will teach basic client screening and discuss advanced ethics of client selection and contracting.ICF  ethics and competencies related to this subject, a proposed definition of “coachability”, research results about this subject, possible warning signs a client needs referral elsewhere before or during coaching,  and proposed screening questions to work into the initial interview.  
Attendees will:
  • Identify which prospective clients are likely to be successful in coaching 
  • Have basic screening questions to use
  • Understand professional coach ethical responsibilities of contracting with clients and making referrals.

About Our Speakers
Dr. Jeanne Erikson and Dr. Manon Dulude

Jeanne Erikson, PhD, PCC, is an experienced coach who is also a leader in coaching ethics in the ICF as she chaired the committee who revised the 2008 ethics code. She has owned   Collaborative Life Coaching since 2002, and has been mentoring coaches doing PhD research about coaching as part of the International University of Professional studies faculty. She also teaches coaching ethics and conflict resolution communication skills for coaches through ILCT, an ICF- approved training program. She has enjoyed a part-time practice as a mediator and licensed therapist in Wichita, KS since 1981.

Manon Dulude, PhD, PCC  brings over 25 years experience from the fields of human development, mental health, and coaching. Her 2012 doctoral research with over 150 voluntary coaching clients highlighted the need for coaches to develop a more stringent screening mechanism to determine “coachability. “ “A willing client does not always translate into a coachable client”, says Dr. Dulude.
