According to the ICF’s 2023 Global Coaching Study, in North America the average coach makes just $67,800 per year. Internationally, that average drops to just $52,800. And yet many coaches make in excess of 10 times that amount. So what’s the difference?


After working with more than ten thousand coaches, I can confirm that only four things matter when building and scaling your coaching business. By focusing on these core four essentials, you avoid being distracted by the many trivial things that prevent us from growing our coaching business.


The good news? You don’t have to learn the latest social media platform, become an expert in artificial intelligence, nor even update your website. While all of these things may help your coaching business, they are not essential and therefore are more likely to distract than grow.


What is important is that none of the core four matter if you’re not working on your own mental fitness. It turns out that your own mental fitness is the key difference. Even when you know precisely the blueprint that millionaire coaches like me use to build and scale their coaching business, if you find yourself hijacked by your Saboteurs, the same blueprint that has a proven track record for others will most certainly fall short.
