Expand Your Coaching Practice with Codevelopment Action Learning (CAL)

    Thursday, April 10th, 2025

    12:00 - 1:30 PM PDT (Virtual)

    REGISTER HERE

Join us for an engaging event that will deepen your understanding of Codevelopment Action Learning (CAL) and its application in coaching, especially for cross-functional groups in organizations. CAL is a coaching process that has been developed for the past three decades in the French-speaking world: Canada (Quebec), France and Belgium, and is only now becoming adopted by English-speaking coaches, beginning with the publication of the first-ever book in English in 2024, Codevelopment Action Learning (CAL) for Business: Co-create, Accelerate, Grow. This event will be presented by Ron Cheshire, one of the authors of this book, who will be joining us from his home in Montreal, Canada.

This highly adopted and heavily researched technique is summarized in a series of steps. In this event, we will practice Step 0 and be introduced to Steps 1-3 through a practical Showcase. There will be a live demonstration with a volunteer client and volunteer coaches from our ICF Colorado community. Participants will also explore how to integrate CAL into their coaching practices in dedicated breakout discussions.

You’ll gain insights into developing essential skills, such as establishing clear agreements, fostering a reflective mindset, and transforming insights into actionable outcomes, all aligned with ICF competencies.

Don’t miss this chance to enhance your coaching toolkit and elevate your coaching journey!

    Learning Objectives:

    • Learn CAL Principles and How It Works: Get an overview of the Codevelopment Action Learning (CAL) approach, including its five key principles and how it operates to foster collaboration and innovation in coaching.
    • Apply CAL in Coaching: Identify where CAL fits into your coaching practice and get practical tips to start CAL groups that solve client challenges.
    • Expand Coaching Services with CAL: Discover how to use CAL in group coaching programs to co-create solutions, speed up client growth, and offer new services.

      • Greater confidence

      • Increased objectivity

      • Heightened sense of belonging

      Evening Edition

      Open Group Coaching SuperVision

      *2nd Tuesday

      December 9th, 6:35 PM - 8:00 PM PT

*Only open to the first 20 registrants*

Have you been curious about supervision and wanting to experience it?

In this monthly (evening) Open Group SuperVision, you will have the opportunity to be supervised by Erica Goos, PCC, Coach Supervisor & Madalina Radulescu, PCC, ESIA, Rekha Hatkanagalekar, MCC and Inga Bielinska, MCC.

      What is supervision?

Supervision is a non-judgmental partnership in which the coach brings his/her work to a supervisor to explore challenges, ethical dilemmas, emotional responses, and how the personal may intrude into the professional.  The supervisor does not evaluate or judge but holds a reflective space for learning and connection for the group.

ICF research has identified key benefits for coaches who receive Coaching Supervision, which include:

      • Increased self-awareness

      • Greater confidence

      • Increased objectivity

      • Heightened sense of belonging

      • Reduced feelings of isolation

      • Increased resourcefulness

Several Groups, One Date and Time

Whether you are a newer coach or an experienced one, you will find a resonant space for you and your peers to gather and reflect.  Our facilitators and all attendees will all meet together on Zoom to center ourselves, and then we will separate into individual groups.

      CCEU's:

      1 Core Competency

      .5 Resource Development

      COST:

      Sliding scale: $33, $25, $15

      Non-members: $5 more

After registration you will receive a link to Zoom in email.

      OUR SPEAKER(S)

Erica Goos, PCC, Certified Coach Supervisor

Erica is a leadership development and transitions (life and career) coach. She brings 20+ years of both working for profit and non-profit organizations and lived experiences into her coaching. Her work has given her a deep understanding that change is an essential component for people and organizations to grow and develop. Those changes can also be a place of great discomfort and resistance. She believes that coaching and supervision helps provide a collaborative space for people and organizations to navigate through these places of discomfort and resistance by drawing upon their creativity and resourcefulness to be an agent of transformational change.

Before becoming a coach, Erica was a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for 15 years, specializing in self-identity formation around race and culture.

She is a Professional Certified Coach by ICF, Certified Mentor Coach and Certified Coach Supervisor
